Evelyn is amazing to work with! She is always positive and methodical with her approach which helps us understand more about our dogs. Every time we leave our training session, we feel like we are better, more informed owners. In a few months, our rescues, who were reactive and anxious to the point where we could sometimes not even take them on walks, have improved remarkably. We are going on lengthy walks every day and are looking forward to being to able take them hiking and camping soon. We also appreciate that everything we do in training is directly connected to our day to day. She's had us go to parks to practice walks around other distractions. She's used her own dogs to help practice socializing ours, and she has recommended and used tools, like a clicker and whistle, that we use everyday in our own home. I am so happy that I chose to go with Evelyn after much research. I had been through petsmart training with our first dog and didn’t feel that was going to work with our second rescue. It was great working with Evelyn one on one with with training catered individually to my puppy. He is so energetic I never thought that he would be consistent as he was with commands. She literally worked her magic with him and we followed our homework to ensure good carryover. Evelyn was really attentive to my puppy’s behavior and really was able to give us tips based on how my puppy would respond. She has made me comfortable with walking him, gaining his attention, and interacting with other dogs and people. Not only did the training serve its purpose, but I definitely gained good bonding time with our new rescue puppy which has shifted our relationship 360 as he was very hesitant when we first got him. Evelyn is fantastic, a total dog whisperer. We went in with a little beast of a dog who didn’t listen to us, was jumping all over, just name it and he was doing it. Now our dog is manageable, behaving and listening to us. I can’t even say enough nice things about Evelyn and how much her dog training has helped us!

Evelyn is very knowledgeable in all areas of dog training. We trained him in my yard and a local park with hiking trails. Cody is so much better off leash. He was stubborn but Evelyn took care of that.

We hired Jewel in the Ruff to help us train our energetic Boston Terrier, Maya. Maya is a one year old pup who really took over the house and told everyone that she was the boss.
We bought books, investigated on the internet, and followed all the advice that people gave us.
We got as far as teaching her to sit and shake, but that was it. We were at the point where we thought we would have to find Maya another home because her behavior was so bad. We hired Jewel in the Ruff and Evelyn came right to our house. She worked with Maya, but just as importantly, she worked with us to learn how to interact with Maya.
I’m happy to say that Maya is doing so much better! She’s obedient and extremely smart. She’s really learned to obey when we give a command.
